GETTING THE WORD OUT – FASTER

I know most of you got our last newsletter, about the BBC documentary on post traumatic stress among people who had returned from war zones, in time to catch it. Several EFTTAers emailed to say how moved/angry/saddened/frustrated it had left you. I am sorry it was short notice. Richard emailed me (Judy) to check I had seen it. It then took me several days to watch it. Once I did I dropped everything to get it out to you quickly. But I still only just got in the iPlayer window of opportunity.

So from now on, I would tweet something as now-or-never as that. I actually did but, as we had only just started @EFTTA, few of you will have got it. I will increasingly use it for information about time-sensitive opportunities and resources. To be in the loop, sign up to follow us.

Please also email me (Judy) on info@judybyrne.co.uk and put TWEET in subject line if you see something you would like to share with your fellow EFTers whether it is a TV programme, a newspaper article, something in a journal, or anything (except advertising) else. Include any hyperlink. @EFTTA is not for Richard and me – it is for the wider EFTTA community.

Watching that documentary reminded me yet again how much we have to offer traumatized people when we have the combination of EFT and a good, sound therapy background. It also reminded me to be frightened about and for anyone who had only EFT training and a kind heart and was tempted to work with these seriously damaged people. There is just so much to learn – for us all. Richard and I between us spent five days at a trauma summer school in London this summer. We learned so much that some of what we learned was how much more we wanted to.

Being a therapist is great if you are addicted to learning. You can go on doing it for life.
